| The CAIM is a spiritual ritual that evolved with the Celts of the Western Isles, was absorbed into the Celtic Church, and thence into the Roman Church. The ritual invokes the protection of the Lord of Light (Celtic and Spiritualist/Spiritist) Facing first to the east, the couple together point their right hands to the ground, then turning with the sun, they rotate through the 4 cardinal points invoking the Lord of Light at each point. |
